Femi-Fani Kayode, a former aviation minister and prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has criticized US President Joseph Biden for failing to congratulate Bola Tinubu on winning the recently ended presidential election in Nigeria.

The candidate of the ruling party, Tinubu, was declared the winner of the allegedly rigged election.

Yet he emphasized that the United States, the most developed country on Earth, should congratulate the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Remember how many foreign leaders congratulated Tinubu on his victory?

Joe Biden’s inability to congratulate Tinubu, according to Fani-Kayode, a former aviation minister who called him out on his verified Twitter account on Tuesday night, is irrelevant.

He requested that Biden phone Tinubu to add his voice to those of the “American State Department and the US Ambassador to Nigeria,” who had both congratulated Asiwaju.

Whether or if @JoeBiden phones to congratulate him, @officialABAT is the President-elect of the largest, richest, most populous, technologically advanced, and enlightened country in Africa, as well as the largest trading partner of the Western world on the continent, he tweeted. Both of us are equally dependent on the other.

“Yes, Asiwaju was congratulated by the American State Department and the American Ambassador to Nigeria. This is something for which we will always be grateful, and it shows some respect.

But now Joe needs to pick up the phone and contribute his voice. According to our size, we should receive nothing less.
