Following the discovery of the dismembered remains of model and Hong Kong influencer Abby Choi, authorities in Hong Kong made the announcement on Saturday that they had detained three individuals in connection with the case.
According to a press release issued by the Hong Kong police, on Friday afternoon, parts of the body of a 28-year-old man were found in an apartment that was being rented in the Tai Po neighbourhood in the city’s north. Also found in the apartment were a meat slicer, an electric saw, and some clothing.
According to the police, three people were detained and questioned after being brought into custody.
As a model, Choi had the opportunity to be seen all over the world. Just a few weeks ago, she was captured on camera while attending the Elie Saab Spring Summer 2023 Haute Couture show in Paris, France.
On Wednesday, the police reported Choi as a missing person and began searching for him.
According to the officials, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death, including the cause of death, is still underway.
