The actor, who is rumored to have “turned down” the opportunity to play James Bond, stated that it “felt special” to bring the premiere of Beast to the borough where he grew up, stating that he has gone “from Hackney to Hollywood.”
The Londoner went to the event with his mother, Eve Elba, as his plus-one, and she looked stunning in a gray outfit. Meanwhile, Idris opted for neutral tones of green and beige in a sharply tailored top and tie.
After giving him a hug upon his arrival at Hackney Picturehouse, Stormzy dressed in all white and stood next to the celebrity, who had previously appeared in a cameo in his music video for the song “Vossi Bop,” which was released in 2019.
