The kidnapping and murder of a MAPOLY student in Ogun is sad for any parent.

Happiness Odeh, a student at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) in Abeokuta, was purportedly killed by her kidnappers.

According to reports, Odeh won the Miss MAPOLY beauty pageant on August 3, 2022.

On Tuesday evening, the ND2 Mass Communication student was kidnapped on her route to Ipara in Ode Remo.

According to Vanguard, the beauty queen was kidnapped along Iperu road by unknown people who raped her before killing her in cold blood.

The incident has been confirmed by the MAPOLY Students Union (MAPSU).

The dead was kidnapped three days ago while on his way to attend a movie location, according to a statement provided to Vanguard and signed by the Students Union President, Sodiq Ajani, and the Public Relations Officer, Joy Okolie.

“The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Students Union (MAPSU) grieved the tragic death of Miss Happiness Odeh, a MAPOLY Mass Communication student.”

“According to sources, she was taken on her way to her destination along the Iperu road.” With her parents’ permission, the deceased left Abeokuta three days ago to visit a filming set in Ipara, Ode-Remo.

“Contrary to popular belief, her death has nothing to do with her standing as the new Miss MAPOLY.” She got the prize on August 3rd, and the movie location she visited had nothing to do with the campus beauty competition.

“Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and colleagues.” May Almighty God offer us all the strength to bear this heartbreaking loss. “Remain in the bosom of the Lord,” the statement said.

The Students Union President told Vanguard’s correspondent on Saturday that the murderers snatched the victim’s phone.
