HROBN New Registrar Visits NYSC DG, Brigadier General, Shaibu Ibrahim, Says Those Who Are Not Qualified But Came To Service Will Be Jailed

The new Registra of the Health Record Officers Registration Board of Nigeria, HROBN, on Wednesday conducted a familiarisation tour to the Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General, Shaibu Ibrahim

The development enabled Registra to present the condition of some of the challenges face by the profession and seek for a way of managing them

HROBN in statement on it Facebook page, it read: “The Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria made a familiarization and appreciation tour to the Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General, Shaibu Ibrahim on the 18th of August, 2021 at the NYSC Headquarters

However “The Registrar/CEO Babagana Mustapha expressed his gratitude for the DG’s support towards the Board since he came into office since 2019, knowing him as one who abhors quackery which is synonymous with the tenets of the Board and profession.”

” The CEO appreciated him on his action on the reaproval of graduated Health Information Management being licences before mobilization in order to forestall quackery and posting of graduates for primary assignments to places other than health institutions.”

“The Registrar/CEO appealed with the DG that the major challenge of the Board, is the presentation of license by our graduate at camps, that only Higher National Diploma (HND) certified license are to be presented at camps for acceptance/clearance from camp officials not National Diplomat (ND) licenses as presented to some of our graduates.”

“The DG said the NYSC cannot tolerate any unethical practices and will always post qualified graduates to hospitals. Those who are not qualified but came to service will be jailed. “

“He said the Board should not hesitate in alerting them on any misconduct while they also do same. He congratulated the Registrar/CEO on his new office and promised to continue their partnership with the Board.”
