The Nigerian Police has confirmed the arrest of Two suspects who were connected to defrauding a German company.
The Two Nigerians who identify as Babatunde Adesanya (50) and Akinpelu Abass (41) were reportedly said to have defrauded a German company of the sum of €14.7 million alongside their counterparts who are Holland-based.
The suspects were working with one Eduardus Boomstra and Geradius Maulder based in Holland and specialised in identity theft, cyber-stalking and cloning of corporate websites.
The said suspects were accused of Operating under a cloned website to defraud Freiherr Fredrick Von Hahn of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
According to report gathered, the suspects operated under one ILBN Holdings BV, Holland, to defraud the victim.
From the reports of the Nigerian police, they said;
“Discrete investigations by INTERPOL Nigeria revealed that the suspects and their Holland-based cohorts, one Eduardus Boomstra and Geradius Maulder specialised in identity theft, cyber-stalking, cloning of corporate websites amongst other cyber mischiefs to defraud unsuspecting members of the public across the world,”
