On Saturday, the suspended All Progressive Congress (APC) chairman, Adams Oshiomole was seen with the Kaduna state governor,Nasir Ahmed El-rufai at the Oba’s palace in Benin city.
Their visit was rumoured to have been in connection with the upcoming Edo state election and how to ensure the candidate of the All Progressive Congress pastor Ize-Iyanmu emerges as the number one candidate of the state.
The election which is to come up in weeks from now has sparked up several talks in the public upon the instability in both major political parties.
The Edo state governor had recently ordered the immediate renovation of the Edo state House of Assembly over fears of impeachment as the speaker of the house was impeached just a day before he gave the order.
The impeachment of the speaker was also rumoured to be on the order of the suspended APC chairman, Adams Oshiomole.
The incumbent governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki will now be left to face the candidate of the APC, the party from which he had departed.
