President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday praised the mechanism taken by Matawalle to detain gunmen, kidnappers, and foreigners in Zamfara state.
The president quoted his commendation in a speech at the graduation ceremony of federal students in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State.
President Buhari, who represented Prof.
Hafiz Abubakar said that the crisis that lasted for nearly ten years in the state had begun to work out in accordance with the governor’s reconciliation plan.
Buhari said the move has led to “freeing hostages and ammunition.”
The president has said that the security condition in the country will one day come to the end of an end called on other states to follow in the path of Zamfara State.
All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state has commended its rival government, Mohammad Bello Matawalle, for abolishing the provision of former governors, deputies, former speakers of the House and their allies in the name of apathy.

The governor, while addressing the reporter after the party’s meeting in Gusau, implored the government to make use of the funds for the welfare of the people of the state.
On the security situation in the state, Governor Sani said some politicians are using the militants to carry out their political objectives.
